Viking Ornamentation Tattoo "Helmets of the fear" Protection-Element in Stone-Design
Is it meant to have the Buddhist wheel of reincarnation in it?
It's called ∆gishjŠlmur and means "Helm of Awe".
It's a viking age rune that was used to curse the enemy and protect you in battle
It's origin is Middle eastern though, absorbed through the vikings trade of plunder for silk, spice, food & knowledge. It's an interesting use and shows there heavily underestimated wisdom.
Cool fucking tat
Would you mind if i possibly got this tattooed? i'm not quite sure yet, but i'm definitely interested in getting something like this done.
Quite a lovely helm of awe.
Your tattoos are more then tattoos you've created living works of art!
